Other Ministry Opportunities
There is truly a place for everyone to serve at East Gaffney. In addition to our children's, youth, and music ministries, there are many other ministry opportunities available. Feel free to take a look at our ministries and we hope you find a ministry you feel God is calling you to serve in .
Woman's Missionary Union (WMU)
WMU offers organizations and ministries for Ladies that enable every member of the church to become involved in missions, to learn about missions, and live a mission lifestyle. there are monthly Circle Meetings and opportunities to participate in missions projects. Janie Chapman, Annie Armstrong , and Lottie Moon Offerings are promoted.
Brotherhood
Men of all ages join together to promote and sponsor many mission activities. Many of our men go out and participate in local, state, and out of state mission projects.
Senior Adults
Ages 55+ meet once a month for food, fun, and fellowship. Outings for breakfast, dinner, and the occasional trip are just some of the activities our seniors participate in.
Good News Club
East gaffney volunteers help bring the word of God into our public school system. We currently sponsor Alma Elementary School and meet weekly during the school calendar to teach children in public schools about the love of Jesus Christ.
Vacation Bible School
This is a week long celebration of God's word through themed nightly activities. This is a fun time for everyone here at East Gaffney. Students learn Bible verses, songs, make crafts, play games, and learn about Bible characters. Through VBS, we are able to reach many young boys and girls not only in our church, but throughout our area with the message of Christ.
Safety Team
Here at East Gaffney, we take the safety of our members very seriously. Our Safety team is often one of the first people someone sees when they walk through the doors of East Gaffney. There is no greater time to shine the light of Jesus to members and visitors alike. We do everything we can to make sure everyone who attends East Gaffney is able to do so in a safe and secure environment. The Safety Team is a behind the scenes ministry, but is equally important as any other ministry at East Gaffney and anyone who desires to help keep their church family safe is welcome to serve with us.
